Where The Pancakes Are is where you want to be. Not only do they deliver the most aesthetically pleasing stacks & drinks, but it all tastes like a dream too.
Speaking of, last night I was that excited about our booking that it featured in my dream. Or I should say nightmare, as the restaurant had been closed down in my sleep. Thankfully, I woke up and it still existed.
My first trip to Where The Pancakes Are, I opted for something well within my comfort zone. A plain American stack with banana, syrup and a sausage. Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious, but this time I decided to have my pancakes like never before.
In terms of drinks, WTPA has a ton of choice. You can get your standard tea, coffee and juice no problem. There is also a selection of cocktails to pair with your pancakes. My friends opted for Mimosas. I had my eyes on the beetroot latte, purely for it’s lovely pink colour. They even topped it with some edible flowers, which I am a sucker for.
I spent the morning scrolling through their instagram, building up an appetite and trying to pick the perfect pancake. Poached Pear Caramel took my eye, because I had never actually tried poached pear before and had been wanting to. It comes topped with cream, salted caramel and toasted almonds. The perfect fall option, as we approach October (or it approaches us at fall speed). As it was only one pancake, I added a side of bacon.
Brunch in London can be an expensive meal, especially if you’re adding cocktails but I found it to be priced very fairly for what you receive. My pancake was £7.50 and the latte £3.50, so not too extortionate for a central restaurant.
All in all it was the perfect meal. As the London weather has been generous the past week, we sat outside in the sun and from the restaurant you get a clear view of the shard. Will you be adding Where The Pancakes Are to your London food bucket list? Let me know down below!
